Mission Statement

The Kaizen Blitz team will strive to continuously improve their building and organizational skills, technical understanding, refine computer programming, minimize wastes and inefficiencies by:

During the “build time” nightly meetings are held at the white board to assign jobs and discuss project designs and concepts.

The team tracks their progress on the white board and daily pictures are taken to document progress, the team reviews work progress, and discusses new approaches as necessary.

New ideas are tested on the prototype and problems dissected.

The robot is tested through various methods for consistency and reliability.

Students, mentors, engineers, machinists, drivers, operators, computer programmers, electronic specialists all work together on the robot to facilitate improvements and changes immediately.

The measure of success is: the satisfaction of a completed project with continual improvement, robot efficiency, gracious professionalism and team standings at the competition.

The team will strive to work and build safely. The team will continue to train each new team member and mentor in the MCST training in proper shop safety. Safety glasses will be worn at all times on the shop floor and when working on the robot.
